Wisconsin Travel and the Wisconsin State Fair Park

The Wisconsin State Fair Park is where the Wisconsin State Fair is held every year. It is a must-stop place on your trip, especially if it is the time when the fair is here! Travel in Wisconsin is not complete until you visit here.

What to do Here

Since 1903, the Milwaukee Mile has been an important part of Wisconsin travel and a popular venue for motor sports. It is the longest, continuously operated auto racing facility in the world, operating for over a century. Recent upgrades have made it one of the best entertainment venues for racing fans. Complete with a new grandstand, scoring pylon, paddock fencing, pit wall, and infield care center, fans will enjoy the races here as part of their Wisconsin travel. NASCAR and other major league auto racing events take place here, and it is a great place to stop when in Wisconsin traveling.

The Wisconsin Exposition Center is the state's largest exhibit hall with plenty of space for events that take place in the city. Since it is in the State Fair Park, it is easy to get to for Wisconsin travelers. Many different types of events take place here, including consumer shows, tradeshows, and many other types of events.

The Pettit National Ice Center is where some of the U.S. Olympic team trains and they support skating for people of all ages. Through education and training they help amateur athletes with their sport and offer recreational skating.

Ag Village is the home of some of the best agricultural facilities in the country. There is a livestock barn that houses horses during the Wisconsin State Fair. There is also the Coliseum, three livestock barns, a cattle barn, Rabbit and Poultry Palace, Swine Barn, sheep Barn, and the Animal Care Building. Driving Directions

Wisconsin travel is easy. From the west you take the I-94 to the exit for 68th and 70th Streets. Turn left onto 68th Street, then left again to go back west on Connor Street to 76th Street. Stay to the right and do not get back on the freeway. Turn left onto 76th Street and go clockwise to the Fair's first open gate.
From the east take the 68th and 70th Streets, going straight ahead on Connor Street to 76th. Turn left on 76th and continue clockwise until you get to the first open gate.
From the north you can take Highway 45 or 43 to the I-94. Take the exit for 68th and 70th Streets. Turn left onto 68th Street, then left again to go back west on Connor Street to 76th Street. Stay to the right and do not get back on the freeway. Turn left onto 76th Street and go clockwise to the Fair's first open gate.
From the South, take the I-94 towards downtown Milwaukee, then take the I-94 west toward Madison. Exit at the 68th and 70th Streets exit. Head west on Connor St. to 76th St. Turn left (south) on 76th St. and proceed clockwise to the Fair's first open gate.
Finally, from the Southwest, take the I-894 bypass and exit at National Avenue. Turn right onto National Avenue, and then proceed to 84th Street. Continue past Greenfield Avenue, and proceed clockwise to the Fair's first open gate.
