Car Rental Milwaukee and the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music
The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music is the oldest and largest non-profit independent music school in the state of Wisconsin. The goal of the school is to provide one of the finest educations in music and performance opportunities for all people who wish to learn music and gain a sense of culture.
When you visit the Conservatory with you Milwaukee car rental you will learn about its history. It was founded in 1899 and it still offers many of the same services (and more) that it did at that time. There are private music lessons, classes, performances, a nationally recognized music library, and programs for the entire community. The school is a certified member of the National Guild of Community Schools of Arts and it is mostly funded through tuition. It does not get any government funding.

The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music is an interesting place to visit with your Milwaukee car rental because they offer many special types of music programs for a wide range of people to participate in. From school programs to individual lessons, the school has a wide presence in the city.
For visitors, there are many performances occurring. You can catch one while you are here to gain an appreciation for music from faculty, students, and world-class guests. There are ongoing concert series that are noted for there wonderful performances. For example, the We Six series offers jazz performances and the Prometheus Trio is known for its challenging chamber music.
Directions
- If you are planning on visiting with your Milwaukee car rental, the main location is found at 1584 North Prospect Road in Milwaukee. If you are coming from the North end of the city, you will want to take the I-43 South to Exit 72C (Wells Street) and follow he ramp leftwards to Wells. You will then go east to the end at Prospect. Turn left and veer right on Prospect. Go 7 blocks north and you will come across the Conservatory on your right.
- If you are coming from the south with your Milwaukee car rental, then you will want to head north on the I-43 and take the Civic Center/Kilbourn Exit. You will head east on Kilbourn to where it ends at Prospect and continue 6 blocks north. It will be on the right side.
- If you are coming from the West with you Milwaukee car rental, then you will take the I-794 to Jackson/Van Buren. At the end of the ramp, you will veer left and follow the signs for Van Buren North. Turn right from Van Buren and continue to Wisconsin Avenue. It will curve left and merge with Prospect Avenue. You will go 8 blocks to the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.
