Wisconsin Travel and the Washington County Golf Course
Attention all golfers! Make the Washington County Golf Course (WCGC) a part of our Wisconsin travel adventures! Located less than an hour's drive northwest of downtown Milwaukee, this beautiful golf course is nested in the heart of picturesque Kettle Moraine Area. Designed by renowned Arthur Hills, WCGC received a 4.5 star rating and is rated 2nd in the nation! It is said to be as challenging as it is beautiful. This 18 hole public golf course was also chosen to host the 1999-2066 US GA Regional Public Links Qualifiers, the 2006 US Open Qualifying Round and a number of other championships. As part of your Wisconsin travels, you can enjoy championship-level play in a quiet and beautiful surrounding without paying championship-level green fees!
Golf Outings
Why not grab all yours friends or co-workers and have a fun-filled golf outing at WCGC! Although the golf course typically hosts outings of 49-90 players, WCGC can make special arrangements suited for your needs. Lunch will be served from the kitchen or you can have your food locally catered. For $7-$8.50 you can choose from Hot Dogs, Polish Sausage, BBQ Beef/Pork at the outing's Hot Buffet. Or you can choose from a selection of sandwiches at the Cold Buffet. All food items include chips, fruit, a cookie, soft drink as well as tax and gratuity. Golf outing rates before Memorial Day and after October 1st are: $50/player on weekdays and $60/player on weekends. After Memorial Day and before October 1st, it is $60/player on weekdays only. Charges include green fees, golf carts, range balls, outing setup (ie: scoring, proxies) and $5/player for the prize fund.
Bookings
To book a golf outing you are required to request a reservation by sending a letter to:
Washington County Golf Course, 6439 Clover Rd, Hartford, WI, 53027. A deposit of $200.00 is required to secure the booking and is due 8 days prior to the event. A list of players and pairings must accompany payment. There is no refund for no-shows. Please include name of company or group represented, date(s) of outing, number of people expected to participate, planned agenda times, and coordinator contact information.

Lessons
Improve your golf game during your Wisconsin travels by taking some lessons from UCGC golf pro John Statz and his assistants! Instruction can be provided to beginners and masters alike. Individual lessons are $40/half hour and for a group of 2-3 people, it is $30(each)/hr. For kids 8-16 years old, 14 hours of instruction are offered at $100 per child and run every Thursday from 9-11am from June 15th-August 3rd. Lunch is served after every session. This also includes free use of rental clubs and balls. Beginner or inexperienced adults (18+) can receive 6 hours of group lessons on Tuesdays 5:30-7pm from May 23rd to June 20th. A maximum of 6 students are allowed per instructor and this includes free use of rental clubs and balls.
Directions and Contact Information
The WCGC is located on 6439 Clover Rd, Hartford, Wisconsin. To begin this Wisconsin travel adventure, take the Highway 41/45 and exit to Highway 60 West. Then drive west for approximately 5 miles, and turn right onto Kettle Moraine Road. Drive 2 miles to Clover Road and turn left. Look for the WCGC town miles down on the left.
