Day 1 – The Milwaukee County Zoo
One of the most exciting attractions in the city of Milwaukee is the County Zoo. Located at 10001 West Bluemound Road, this wildlife haven is a great place to spend an afternoon with friends or family. Day 3 – The Milwaukee Art Center
Of all the museums located in the city of Milwaukee, the Art Center is by far one of the most imaginative and exciting! Located at 700 North Art Museum Drive, the Art Center is a beautifully crafted architectural wonder, thanks to massive sails and a bold contemporary design. The Art Center has recently undergone a massive renovation and expansion program, winning international acclaim from a variety of sources, including Time magazine! Open weekdays from 8.30am to 5pm, the Art Center is a wonderful Milwaukee attraction to visit during rainy days, so be sure to keep the address on hand in your Milwaukee car rental!
Day 4 – The Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory (also known as "The Domes")
A trip to Milwaukee wouldn't be complete with out an afternoon spent at "The Domes"! Designed by a local architected named Donald Grieb, this $4.5 million project is one of the most visited attractions in all of Milwaukee! The Mitchell Park Conservatory consists of three separate domes – the Arid Dome, the Tropical Dome and the Floral Show Dome. Each dome is filled with hundreds of different plants, trees and flowers, creating a lush retreat in the center of the city! Located at 524 South Layton Blvd. the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory offers over 45000 square feet of natural beauty you simply can't afford to miss, so be sure to stop by and smell the roses (and lilies, and orchids and perennials!) during your next Milwaukee vacation!
Day 5 – The Betty Brinn Children's Museum
Children absolutely love the Betty Brinn Museum located at 929 East Wisconsin Avenue. Dedicated to providing children 10 and under with exciting hands on activities, the Betty Brinn Museum is one of the best children's activities centers in the country!
